about

Wow! This show was great! It was probably at The Squeeze in Riverside CA, right before the Capitol album was released. That would be 1979-80. Why is it great? Because the band was smoking, playing every night, tight as fuck. The audio quality sucks but the performance is epic. We played two sets, (which we hardly ever did.) We did alternate versions and songs we hardly ever played live. For instance, Crime Doesn't Pay by Jack Lee. We did alternate versions of Born Dead and Brain Job. Recordings of these songs just don't exist! I think this was definitely one of our best, if not the best shows we ever did. Too bad Buzz turned up so loud and my vocals get obliterated towards the end but its exciting as hell! This recording gives you some clue to as why some people say RCR was one of the best live acts they ever saw. - Rod Firestone, Lead Singer . Rubber City Rebels.
